Strong Opinions & The PlayersCurrently our nation is in a slight state of depression, not only economically, but socially, culturally, and politically as well. Due to the recession, social moods are pessimistic and cautious and our popular culture is a reflection of these moods. Also as a result is general skepticism towards our governments ability to help our nation recover. Slowly, as the population gains faith in the government coupled with our climbing economy, general social mood will become positive once again and popular culture will reflect this change.
